Training thoughts #1

ree

Wwhat training opportunities do you see here? I see multiple, probably all TDX level. Are you using spaces like this for your TDX training? It's sites and situations like this that will teach your dog to think and problem solve, and the more opportunities he has to problem solve, the larger his repertoire will be when he needs to solve a challenge at a test. Generalization isn't doing woods entries at 15 different locations....it's allowing the dog to learn through different exposures to unique challenges.

The first time I asked Gusto to train here (before he had his X), we ran this area fresh, 100% scuffed, with frequent food drops. By the time he was test ready, he could do it at 6 hours, walked, no food.
