This is interesting…

We saw this while plotting at Oatlands on Saturday, the all of the snow melted in 20 minutes, and then apparently the sun was warming the ground, causing this fog to rise from the ground.

I’ve often been told that scent mimics fog. I do not know if that is scientifically correct, but if it does, is the scent where you’d expect it to be? In addition, there was zero wind, yet the air currents appear to be shifting uphill (which to the sailor in me actually makes sense). Most of us would have expected the scent to roll down the hill and hold by the woods—the fog was doing the opposite.

All of which is to say, we do not know what scent does or where it is. X or Y. Train your dog to stay on the track, everything else is an unknown!

I found this interesting and thought I’d share.

That is pretty wild! Thanks for posting! When I was leaving my house at 5:15 am, it said “Freezing FOG possible”. I wonder what that looks like??!!
