December news....

Oh the weather outside is frightful …. To date, our Tues and Sat students have enjoyed excellent weather.  Get prepared as your Tues and Sat classes in January and February could include low temperatures and falling precipitation.  We do expect to hold class unless roads are hazardous.  Please check for updates under the SCHEDULE tab the night before and morning of your class, especially if the forecast is wild.

But the fire is so delightful… What a wonderful time to update your blog AND go through other students’ blogs.  You might be surprised what you learn.  Oh, AND spend some time on the TRAINING tab – there is a ton of great info on that tab.  Judi and I and all four assistants are taking time away from blogs Monday Dec 23 through Friday Dec 27.  You can post your activities but please refrain from texting us from the morning of the 23rd through the evening of the 27th.

And if you’ve no place to go…. We have already encouraged you to GET OUT OF YOUR BACKYARD.  Take your tracking out into a new winter wonderland.  Check out your nearby schools, churches, parks, etc.  And with a little down time over the holidays, it is the perfect time to team up with someone from class. You can plot and lay a track for them; they can do the same for you.  You can video them; they can video you.  See a pattern here?

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…. If it does snow, do give your dog the experience of a super fun, motivational track in the snow.  Not 400 yards, not 15 turns, not 3 hrs old.  How about a one turn start – 40 yds, turn, 40 yds. Articles at the start, after the turn and at the end.  Super yummies in your current food drop pattern. Less than 30 minutes age.  AND, play all of the article games INSIDE with hot chocolate in your favorite mug.  Those videos that are posted with that darling, feral working cocker are full of information and laughter! Bundle up, get outside and have fun OR keep your pajamas on and have fun inside!

Happy Holidays and see you in the New Year!

Mary Ann, Judi, Ralph, Anne, Valerie & Jen

How do we read other student's blogs? I have "followed" several people. . .but I don't see their blogs.

And if someone’s settings don’t allow you to see them, email them and ask to be invited. There are some awesome blogs to follow!
