FYI, an acquaintance used a car temp monitoring system for her dogs. It failed. One dog died. Please, no comments about her choices, this is just a warning for those who are using these systems. I do not know which one she used, I doubt it matters, devices can fail.

As you said it doesn't matter but it was a Tesla pet monitoring system so not an inexpensive model. Devastating.
